Teen worker, 16, dies after storm causes under-construction home to collapse

A teenage construction worker was killed in a storm-related collapse in Montgomery County, Texas officials said Tuesday.

The deadly incident occurred just after noon as storms battered Brazos Valley causing a home under construction to collapse.

All but one worker managed to flee when they noticed that the structure began to shift during the storm.

“Upon their arrival, first responders quickly worked and located the trapped male,” said Sheriff Specialist Caleb Cole.

    It was later confirmed that the 16-year-old victim was an employee of the construction company working on site.

    The victim’s next of kin have been made aware of the tragic incident.

    His name and that of the construction company were not immediately released.
