A deadly crash on a Dodge County, Wisconsin highway left four people dead and a fifth injured early Monday, officials said.
The accident involving a Ford F150 and a semi-tractor without a trailer occurred around 4 a.m. Monday on State Highway 16/60 at the intersection of County Road TT, about three miles east of Columbus.
The Ford F150 failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the trailer.
Four of the five occupants of the Ford died in the crash, including three at the scene.
They were two males aged 17 and 19 and two females aged 18.
The 57-year-old driver of the semi-tractor suffered minor injuries.
“It’s very sad. I have a son of my own and I can’t imagine what parents are going through. It’s heartbreaking,” a neighbor said.
“We’ve seen five of six accidents in the time we’ve been there. There’s very little lights out here so maybe a flashing stop sign would be helpful.”
