A New York boy was found unresponsive in a driveway after what detectives described as an after-prom party early Sunday morning.
Jordan Drake, 16, was declared dead at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown shortly after he was found lying in the driveway of a home at around 3:15 a.m.
Police believe Drake was at an after-prom party in the town of Theresa Saturday evening.
The Indian River High School student’s cause of death remains a mystery. School officials remembered him as an active student with “many close friends and family ties throughout the community.”
“Many of us are hurting right now and will depend on those bonds of support, friendship, and togetherness,” said District Superintendent Troy Decker.
“We know our students and staff will lean on each other as they remember their classmate, student, friend, cousin, and fellow Indian River student.”
