Syracuse mom admits to whipping child to death with belt; hiding body in woods

A Syracuse, New York woman was charged this week after she admitted to killing her daughter and disposing of her body in January.

Latasha Mott, 29, was charged with manslaughter and disposal of a corpse over the death of 5-year-old Nefertiti Harris.

    After the girl’s death, she took the body to a wooded area; police were still looking for the body in the area Mott indicated on Monday.

    The investigation into Nefertiti’s disappearance only started Sunday when concerned family members called the police.
