A 38-year-old woman was found dead next to a bloody iron in a SoHo hotel room Thursday, police said.
The death is being investigated as a murder after the body was discovered by a maid in an 11th-floor room at the SoHo 54 Hotel at around 10:30 a.m.

The woman, who has an address in Queens and has no criminal record, was declared dead at the scene.
Police found no evidence of forced entry to the room but a next-door guest recalled the chaotic scene inside the hotel packed with New York Fashion Week attendees.
“It was really scary. We knew that the person didn’t make it,” she said.
