Trump criticizes Biden’s decision to visit East Palestine one year after catastrophic train derailment

Former President Donald Trump expressed on social media his frustration over President Joe Biden’s plans to visit East Palestine, Ohio, a year after the catastrophic train derailment.

Trump visited the site in the aftermath of the derailment that occurred on February 3, 2023, and saw 38 cars of a Norfolk Southern freight train, including five hauling vinyl chloride going off tracks.

The derailment unleashed toxic gases and prompted fires in the area forcing the evacuations of at least 5,000 residents many of whom reported suffering harm.

    He said that Biden’s visit which comes a year after the tragic events is “too late.”

    “With the World blowing up around us, with the Middle East on FIRE, Biden has finally decided to visit East Palestine, Ohio, a year late, and only to develop some political credibility because EVERYTHING else he has done has been such a DISASTER,” Trump posted on Truth Social Wednesday.

    “I know those great people, I was there when it counted and his reception won’t be a warm one. Worst President in History!”
