Former President Donald Trump’s health is sparking fears after he was spotted frail and exhausted during Iowa events.
The 77-year-old looked “worn out” and dragged one leg as he walked into a hotel in Des Moines following a busy day of campaigning Saturday.
“I’ve never seen that in him,” internal medicine physician Dr. Stuart Fisher said of the Republican leader.
“The walking is one issue, but the balance is another, he looked a little bit like he was on a ship at sea.”
Dr. Keith Vossel added that Trump’s victory speech on Monday night was unusually calm and less animated because the presidential contender had an aggressive campaign and legal schedule.
“It shows you that he’s aging, I think that’s the kindest way to put it,” Dr. Vossel, a neurologist at the University of California Los Angeles, said.
But according to Dr. Fisher, Trump’s performance in Iowa may have been impacted by the extremely cold weather.
“Temperatures are really severely low. It’s not like in New York City, where it’s 30 or so. Plus there’s a wind chill, and you’re catching him coming right in. It could take up to five minutes to fully acclimate when once you get indoors.”
