President Joe Biden took to social media Tuesday to comment on his rival Donald Trump’s landslide Iowa victory calling him “the clear front runner” for the GOP.
“Looks like Donald Trump just won Iowa,” Biden said. “He’s the clear front runner on the other side at this point.”
“But here’s the thing: this election was always going to be you and me vs. extreme MAGA Republicans.”
“It was true yesterday and it’ll be true tomorrow.”
Trump won the Iowa caucuses Monday with a historic 30-point victory.
He ended up with 51 percent of the votes, ahead of Ron DeSantis on 21 percent, and Nikki Haley on 19 percent.
Biden had previously stated that he was running for President against Trump because he is the “most anti-democratic” president in “American history.”
“The things that Trump is saying. Trump is saying things that are just off the wall,” he stated on the Rev. Al Sharpton radio show on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
“He’s the most anti-democratic – with a small ‘d’ – president in America history. The things he’s saying and he means them. He’s talking about he’s running to get revenge on people. It’s just outrageous things.”
