NYC boy, 14, killed in tragic subway-surfing incident

A New York City boy was killed in a tragic incident while subway surfing in Brooklyn on Friday, officials said.

The 14-year-old victim climbed on a southbound F train as it entered the Avenue N stop before he fell onto the tracks and got struck by an oncoming train at around 2:20 p.m.

Gruesome photos from the scene caught the impact of the crash including blood, crime-scene tape, and the victim’s sneaker.

    “Our thoughts are with the teenager’s family. Subway surfing kills. Another innocent life has been lost, and it should not happen,” Davey said.

    “I implore parents to talk with their children and teachers to speak with their students - riding on top of subway trains is reckless, dumb, and the consequence can be lethal.”
