Philadelphia man pushed onto subway tracks during fight; fatally struck by train

A Philadelphia man died Thursday night after another man shoved him onto subway tracks into the way of an oncoming train during an argument.

The chilling incident was caught on surveillance footage from the 34th Street SEPTA station.

Two men began fighting at around 4:30 p.m. steps away from the platform’s rim as the train approached the station.

The suspect punched the victim twice sending him onto the tracks in front of the shocked bystanders.

    “Oh my God. I feel so terrible,” a witness said.

    The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being determined.

    “We don’t know exactly what took place prior to that to initiate this, but it’s being investigated at this point,” Police Inspector Kpana Massquoi said adding that a person of interest was taken into custody.
