Two brothers died this week after they fell through ice on a Sun Prairie retention pond, authorities said.
First responders were at the scene at around 3:20 p.m. Friday shortly after they received reports about the tragic incident.

The boys, aged 6 and 8 years old, were pulled out of the pond and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
One of the siblings died over the weekend. The other passed away Monday.
“We extend our deepest condolences, wishes, and prayers for the family during this terribly tragic time,” the City of Sun Prairie said in a statement.
