Nebraska toddler on small bicycle fatally struck by car in front of dad

A 2-year-old Nebraska boy was struck and killed by a car in Eagle, Nebraska Sunday afternoon.

Whit J. Richards was declared dead at Lincoln Hospital shortly after the crash that occurred at around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of South Sixth and E Streets.

    Detectives said the toddler was riding a small bicycle on West E Street when he entered the intersection and was hit by the pickup.

    Cass County authorities and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the crash.
