A young woman riding in the passenger’s seat of a vehicle was killed in a freak accident on a Mississippi highway.
23-year-old Amanda Taylor was hit by a deer that smashed through a Nissan Maxima windshield on US-61 Tuesday morning.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the deer was hit by a Chevrolet Cavalier near Old Colony Road in Claiborne County before it hit the Nissan Maxima.
The passenger of the Nissan was declared dead at the scene at around 5:20 a.m.
The drivers of the two vehicles did not suffer injuries in the incident.
