‘Children were shot’: Boy dead, 5 people wounded in Cincinnati shooting

Cincinnati Police are looking for suspects in a deadly shooting that killed an 11-year-old boy and wounded five people late Friday.

Police Chief Teresa Theetge said that the shooting occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Friday near TQL Stadium and Laurel Park.

The victims included minors, Theetge said adding that investigators have yet to identify a suspect and a motive.

  • “We are gathering all evidence so we can bring these people to justice. It’s unacceptable on a Friday night that six people are shot in our city,” Theetge said.

    Mayor Aftab Pureval described the incident as a “horrific tragedy” in a social media post.

    “Children were shot. At least one life was lost. Our friends and neighbors are feeling unimaginable fear, trauma and anger.”
