The death of a contractor at a Louisville distillery on Wednesday is being investigated after he fell six floors to his death while at work.
Firefighters and first responders rushed to the Brown-Forman Distillery at Dixie Highway and Garland Avenue Wednesday afternoon after receiving reports of an accidental fall.
The victim, later identified as 53-year-old Mark Gibson, died at the scene before he could receive medical help.
Gibson worked as a mason for Schnell Contractors, doing brickwork at the building.
The Kentucky Labor Cabinets is investigating the incident and claims that the deadly fall was caused by a supervisor’s mistake.
