NY man dies while running physical fitness test to join fire department

A New York man suffered a deadly medical emergency while running a physical fitness test to join the fire department on Tuesday.

32-year-old Alexander Griffin was declared dead at the hospital despite the immediate medical care he received at the scene.

“Our hearts are with the family as they grieve this tragic loss,” the department said.
