The identity of the man who took his own life late Thursday by jumping off the roof of a swanky Manhattan hotel remains a mystery as witnesses struggle to forget the horrifying suicide scene.

“I am still shocked,” said a French resident of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Columbus Circle.

The 200-pound, 5’10 jumper leapt 750 feet down the five-star hotel building to his death at around 9 p.m. while wearing pajamas.

On his way down, the man’s body got split in half by the hotel entrance’s glass awning. His severed arm was spotted across the street.

“He was on the ground covered up in a sheet. I saw a part of him on the ground, I don’t know what,” the resident said.

“When I woke up this morning, I asked the hotel staff what happened but they wouldn’t give me any information.”
