A Mississippi man took his own life behind the wheel of his car causing a crash that injured two people on Cowan Road in Gulfport, authorities said.
The 25-year-old man shot himself dead while driving on Seaway Road at around 9 a.m. Friday, police said.

Following his suicide, the man's vehicle struck another car hurting two people on Lorraine Road.
Harrison County coroner Brain Switzer ruled the driver's death a suicide. The other victims suffered minor injuries.
Authorities remained at the scene for several hours collecting evidence. The suicide victim's identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin's notification.
