An Ohio toddler is dead after a fatal crash that occurred late Friday when he left his babysitter's home, authorities said.
The 15-month-old boy was hit by a F-150 pickup truck on Township Road 73 south of State Road 604 just before 8 p.m.

Police said that the child was transported to Akron Children's Hospital in critical condition; he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Investigators said that the toddler had wandered away from his 17-year-old babysitter's home without being noticed.
The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger did not suffer injuries in the crash. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
