NYPD investigates after infant found unconscious at migrant hotel dies

A four-month-old girl died after she was found unconscious at a Manhattan migrant hotel early Thursday.

The infant was found unresponsive at the Steward Hotel at 7:32 a.m. and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where she died shortly later.

Investigators said that the girl was in cardiac arrest when medics arrived at the hotel adding that the circumstances surrounding the baby's death remain unclear.

    The 600-room hotel where the incident occurred was turned into a migrant shelter.

    Earlier this year, two people were stabbed during a melee inside the building on Seventh Avenue.
