Inmate escapes Louisville jail, kidnaps 2 people & forces them to drive him elsewhere

Authorities in Louisville are looking for an inmate who ran away from a local jail on Thursday and briefly kidnapped two citizens to drive him elsewhere.

The search continues for Norman Kenneth Wolfe, 31, who kicked out a window of the vehicle transporting him to Trimble County Jail and jumped out to the roadway.

  • As police looked for Wolfe and alerted local businesses and schools to the incident, they learned that he kidnapped two people to transport him to another place in Louisville.

    The victims were not harmed, authorities said urging anyone with information about Wolfe to call them.

    Wolfe was facing charges of burglary, fleeing and evading police, and possession of a handgun.
