A Mississippi boy is facing murder charges over the fatal shooting of a pregnant 16-year-old girl Sunday.
Gulfport Police said that 15-year-old Brenton Brumfield shot Kamori Lake in the head at an apartment complex at around 1 p.m.
The victim, who was 3-and-a-half months pregnant with a baby boy, was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Preliminary evidence showed that Brumfield pointed the gun at Lake and fired the fatal shot.
“This heinous crime will not go unpunished,” authorities said.
Police also arrested three suspects, including 19-year-old Jamarrion Jackson, a 13 and 17 years olds, for hindering the prosecution in the case.
