An Ohio teen was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly admitted to bringing a loaded gun to high school Monday in order to hurt his classmates.
Officers began a search for the suspect after a 17-year-old boy contacted school officials about a bullet he found in the bathroom at West Geauga High School.
Brandon Morrissette, 18, was found in possession of a 9 mm pistol, three loaded magazines, and a knife about an hour after the search began.
Chester Township Police said Morrissette admitted during questioning to “using prior calculation and design in developing a plan to cause harm to students at West Geauga High School.”
“He further acknowledged the firearm seized by law enforcement on Monday was the weapon he intended to use to inflict that harm,” Police Chief Craig Young said.
