An NYPD officer has taken his own life Tuesday after jumping from the roof of a Flushing, Queens building at around 12:30 p.m.

Steven Hernandez, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. The six-year veteran of the force had reportedly just left a department psychiatrist appointment when he committed suicide.

Hernandez was a father of two children and was recently placed on restricted duty with his service weapons taken away from him.
