Juvenile driver with no license caused multi-car crash that killed veteran NYPD cop

A New York Police Department officer was killed in a multi-car crash on Friday, Westchester County authorities said.

Sergeant Frank Gualdino, a 24-year veteran of the Yonkers Police Department, died when a 16-year-old unlicensed driver lost control of his vehicle and went against the traffic before ramming into his car.

The 53-year-old victim was to retire in nine months. He suffered head and body injuries and died at Jacobi Medical Center. The teenage driver was listed in critical condition.
