Fiery crash in west Phoenix leaves 3 dead, 2 injured

Authorities in Phoenix said Sunday that three people were killed late Saturday night in a fiery crash involving two vehicles.

Officers responded to the scene at Thomas Road and 59th Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. over reports of a collision that left a pick-up truck on fire.

Firefighters put out the flames and discovered three deceased people who were trapped in the burning vehicle.

    Two occupants of that vehicle sustained injuries, including one in critical condition.
