Buffalo Grove man kills wife, daughters, relative and himself inside $1M residence

A murder-suicide inside a ritzy Chicago suburb residence worth one million dollars left five people dead Wednesday.

Illinois authorities said that 39-year-old Andrei Kisliak stabbed his wife Vera Kisliak, 36; daughters Vivian and Amilia, 6 and 4; and 67-year-old Lilia Kisliak before stabbing himself.

“Today is a very sad day for our community as we continue to process this unthinkable event,” BGPD Chief Brian Budds said.

  • Neighbors of the family said that the couple filed for divorce in July and recalled Andrei acting “hostile” toward his young daughters.

    “The older sister had a big personality. Very loud. The younger sister was very shy but so sweet. Babies. Just babies. How could anyone do this to their family?”

    Another resident of the small, quiet village said that the tragic incident shocked the community.

    “Eighteen years. My kids grew up here, so it’s…you never see it, never see anything like this ever,” he said.
