Police in Buffalo Grove, Illinois are investigating a possible murder-suicide after the bodies of five people including two children were found inside a home Wednesday.
A 911 caller requested a welfare check at the address sending cops to the house where no one answered leading them to forcefully access the residence at around noon.
All five victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A neighbor told local outlets that a couple and their two young children lived there.
“We would see the kids playing about. They would have friends and family gatherings. Nothing too out of the ordinary.”
“So, it’s a big shock to have all this occurring, especially during this time of the year.”
Preliminary evidence showed the incident was a murder-suicide and authorities confirmed that there is no threat to the public.
