Norwood news, Ohio news.

The family of a slain baby girl is still reeling under her unexpected death as it was revealed that the 5-month-old daughter was killed by her mother.

37-year-old Rebecca King was arrested over the October 8 death of Lily Johnson. Authorities said that the baby died from a “blunt impact” at a Norwood home.

Ashley Brooks, Lily’s aunt, said that the mother told her that the baby died and provided a story that “did not make sense.”

Investigators did not reveal details of the murder or a motive. The incident left the family “shocked and bewildered,” Brooks said.

“She was getting to the point where she was starting to laugh and she, at one point, was starting to laugh and it was the cutest thing,” she said of her late niece.
