Authorities in northwest Georgia have arrested a 22-year-old man and charged him with aggravated assault and cruelty to children for attacking two twin sisters.
Robert Terrell Dubose Jr. is accused of placing a pillow over the 3-month-old girls’ faces and trying to smother them because they wouldn’t stop crying.

The incident, which unfolded on October 3, caused a neck fracture to one of the infants. Police said that the victims were born 5 months premature.
Authorities declined to disclose the suspect’s relationship with the infants and their current condition is unknown.
Dubose was arrested on October 11 and booked into the Floyd County Jail without bond.
