Food processing plant employee found dead in kettle cooker

The body of a 63-year-old employee was found inside a kettle cooker early Monday at a New Jersey food processing plant.

The victim, identified as Dale R. Devilli, was discovered at around 8 a.m. in the machine at the Cumberland County’s Lassonde Pappas plant.

“Early Monday morning, an accident that caused a fatal injury to one of our employees occurred at our facility,” a spokesman for the plant said.

    Devilli’s death is being investigated as an accident. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

    “He will be remembered for his years of expertise and vigorous work ethic. He hardly ever missed a day of work and took pride in his job,” an obituary for the victim read.
