The remains of an Ohio mom missing since 2017 were found by a woman searching for her dog in a wooded area of Youngstown, police said.
On Tuesday, the remains found shrouded in a cloth were positively identified as those of Amy Hambrick. At the time of her disappearance, she was 29.

The medical examiner used dental records to identify Hambrick’s remains but her cause of death has yet to be determined.
“Someone knows what happened,” Police Chief of Detectives Jason Simon said of the victim’s death vowing to reinterview all persons of interest.
Hambrick, a heroin addict, had left her home in Youngstown for the last time on Nov. 11, 2017 when she went to visit a friend in North Jackson.
