NYPD looking for murder suspect who fatally shot construction worker ‘point blank’ during lunch break

A Brooklyn construction worker was shot and killed while on lunch break outside a public housing complex on Wednesday, the NYPD said.

The 30-year-old victim was sitting under an awning on Stanley Avenue in East New York at around 11:55 a.m. when the suspect’s gray car pulled in.

    “The gunman shoots him point blank,” Police Chief James Essig said. “He was specifically targeted.”

    Authorities said that the man was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital. No arrests were made in connection with the shooting.
