Houghton Lake news, Michigan news.

Four family members were found dead in a Houghton Lake home Sunday, three days after a woman filed for divorce after unsuccessfully seeking a protective order against her mentally troubled husband.

Tirany Savage, 35, her mother Kim Lynnette Ebright, 58, and her 13-year-old son Dayton Cowdrey were shot to death at the hand of Bo Eugene Savage, 35, who opposed the divorce attempt.

But Tirany’s request was turned down for insufficient evidence and she decided to file for divorce after the man’s threats reached her friends and relatives.

Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office described the case as a triple murder-suicide but has yet to confirm Bo as the perpetrator.
