Months after he was executed by a bullet to the head inside his car, the mother of a 22-year-old college basketball player revealed that she had been sent photos of his burning body.
The gruesome pictures were sent hours before authorities officially identified Jesse Parilla as one of the two burned-out bodies found inside a charred vehicle in the Bronx on May 16.
“Someone took a photo of him in the car,” Parilla’s distraught mom Michelle Morales said. “I saw my son’s bones.”
Parilla and Nikki Huang were caught in a gang feud triggered by Huang who had accused a rival gang of stealing her purse complaining to gangster friends.
But Morales and investigators believe Parilla was not involved in the matter and had no gang affiliation when Huang asked him for a ride home.
“He wasn’t into gangs. He wasn’t affiliated with any of that stuff,” the mom said. “Jesse was a humble kid. From what I know, Jesse never had a problem with anyone.”
“I feel disrespected on his death, how it happened. I deserve answers…He’s all I had. I sacrificed and lived for him.”
