New York City news, New York news.

Days after the bodies of a New York City couple were found beyond recognition in a car in the Bronx, detectives shed more light on the details leading up to the heinous execution that shocked the community earlier this week.

Nikki Huang, 25, asked her childhood friend, 22-year-old Jesse Parrilla, for a ride late Monday not knowing that she was the target of Down the Hill gangsters.

  • The woman had triggered a bloody feud between that gang and rivals Up the Hill that were pals of her after telling them that she had been robbed by a Down the Hill member that stole her purse.

Retaliatory shootings began between the two gangs killing one, and wounding three; until Hunag herself was targeted and executed with the unfortunate Parrilla who had no gang affiliation.

“Right now it looks like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time,” police said. “He has no criminal record. It looks like he was just hanging out with Nikki.”
