The van carrying a Netflix crew went off the road and flipped over Thursday killing two actors and wounding six others.
The turn-over crash took place on a desert road on the Baja California Sur peninsula near Mulege, Mexico.
The deceased were identified as actors Raymundo Garduno Cuz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez. They were reportedly filming “The Chosen One” series in nearby Santa Rosalia.
The injured were two cast members and four crew members. They were listed in stable condition.
Following the tragedy, the company running the filming Redrum announced that the production of the series will be temporarily paused.
“SAG-AFTRA has been in contact with Netflix and with the Mexican actors union ANDA about this incident and we are investigating the circumstances with local production,” a spokesperson for the organization said.
“On-set safety is always our top priority. We will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure that our members and others are safe in their workplace.”
