Chicago news, Illinois news.

A Chicago woman is behind bars on child endangerment charges after her child brought a loaded gun in his backpack to school where it accidentally went off.

Tatanina Kelly, 28, had her bond set at $10,000 despite her attorney arguing that she had no criminal history and that this was a “one-time incident, not soon to be repeated.”

Kelly’s child had brought the loaded weapon to Walt Disney Magnet School and it accidentally discharged at around 10 a.m. Tuesday, wounding a classmate.
