A New York City man admitted to fatally shooting a woman after knocking at her door on Wednesday claiming that she was a “witch” that cursed him.
Giuseppe Canzani went to Anna Torres’ Queens home on Wednesday and as she responded to the door, he fired three shots fatally striking her.
The 51-year-old victim was the mom of an NYPD officer and a psych reading tarot cards at her home, which may have caused Canzani to believe she cast curses on him.
“They tried to kill me. I am supposed to be dead already,” the 41-year-old suspect reportedly told detectives.
Torres’ husband, who was not home at the time of the shooting, said that his late wife did not even know Canzani.
“She was the sweetest person in the world. I’m lost without her,” he said.
