Mexican migrant chokes to death while climbing border wall

A Mexican migrant was found hanging on the border wall in Arizona last month and an autopsy revealed that the female victim died in a tragic accident while trying to climb the wall.

According to the Pima County Medical Examiner’s findings, Griselda Anais Verduzco Armenta, 31, became entangled in a climbing gear during the April 11 incident.

  • She was found suspended, entrapped by tie-down straps, a cord, and a seat belt surrounding her upper body. Armenta hung upside down for “a significant amount of time” from the Douglas section of the wall before she was found.

    The report detailed Armenta’s injuries including fractured vertebrae, and abrasions to the head, torso, and extremities.

    Many migrants die in tragic accidents while trying to climb the border wall often falling from significant heights.
