Arizona mom-of-6 vanishes after telling family that she was stabbed in neck: ‘She may be injured & in need of medical attention’

An Arizona mom-of-6 is missing after she called family members Sunday and told them that her boyfriend stabbed her in the neck.

The 4 a.m. call was the last time relatives heard of 37-year-old Irene Luevano before she vanished.

Police arrived at Luevano’s home to find her boyfriend unconscious with self-inflicted stab wounds. He was later identified as Jorge Quintero Lara and remains hospitalized.

  • “At this time, the missing person remains open and active,” Phoenix Police Spokesperson Sgt. Vincent Cole said.

    “Ms. Luvano’s romantic partner was contacted by police at a local hospital and was questioned. He was subsequently booked into jail for charges unrelated to her disappearance.”

    Police added that Luevano “may be injured and in need of medical attention.”
