An Arizona mom-of-6 is missing after she called family members Sunday and told them that her boyfriend stabbed her in the neck.
The 4 a.m. call was the last time relatives heard of 37-year-old Irene Luevano before she vanished.
Police arrived at Luevano’s home to find her boyfriend unconscious with self-inflicted stab wounds. He was later identified as Jorge Quintero Lara and remains hospitalized.
“At this time, the missing person remains open and active,” Phoenix Police Spokesperson Sgt. Vincent Cole said.
“Ms. Luvano’s romantic partner was contacted by police at a local hospital and was questioned. He was subsequently booked into jail for charges unrelated to her disappearance.”
Police added that Luevano “may be injured and in need of medical attention.”
