Athens news, Georgia news.

An Athens, Georgia man’s decomposed body was located in an area river Friday after he went missing for nearly a month, police said.

Quavian Culver’s mother said that police told her a human body found in the Middle Oconee River was likely her missing son who vanished on Dec. 13, leaving behind three young children.

The river flows behind an apartment complex where the 27-year-old man was last seen alive at around 5 p.m. in surveillance footage.

His grandmother had earlier this week told reporters that she had a telling vision about the young man.

“I had a vision, spiritual, and kept telling the detective, ‘My grandson is in water. You need to check the place you saw him at,’ and I didn’t know there was a river there, but I said he’s in the water,” she said.
