New York City news, New York news.

A former New York Police Department officer was extradited from New Jersey and indicted on murder and weapons charges for slaughtering his elderly mother last year.

Osvaldo Diaz, 46, was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia and served as an officer for four years before he was fired in 2008.

His six siblings were concerned about their 78-year-old mother’s safety before the gruesome February 2021 murder.
