Kentucky news, US news.

The wintery weather had brought up to nine inches of snow over a few hours to the Mid-South causing dozens of crashes and offices’ shut down across the region.

“All roadway surfaces will freeze,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear warned residents. “They are and will be extremely dangerous. I am closing all state office buildings with a public warning to stay off the roadways so roadway crews can continue plowing and clearing roads.”

Snowfall in Kentucky reached 8 to 9 inches across Elizabethtown, Bardstown, and Nicholasville late Thursday. The Kentucky State Police said that two troopers were involved in crashes.
