An Alaska woman found an abandoned baby in a cardboard box on a Fairbank street with a note revealing his name and the circumstances that led to his abandonment.
“Please help me!!! My parents and grandparents don’t have food or money to raise me. They NEVER wanted to do this to me. My mom is so sad to do this. Please take me and find me a LOVING FAMILY. My parents are begging whoever finds me. My name is Teshawn.”
The baby was born 12 weeks premature, the note added. The woman who found him took him to a hospital where it was determined he was in good health despite the freezing temperatures at the time.
Authorities said that the baby’s mom was located adding that she was still a teenager.
“The mother is cooperative and at this time, her well-being and medical treatment is the priority,” Trooper Tim DeSpain said.
