Hit-and-run driver busted after hitting 6 children as they awaited school bus, killing 2

The hit-and-run driver who allegedly hit six children Monday killing two and severely injured the others before taking off was arrested the following day, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced.

27-year-old Sean Charles Greer is accused of leaving the scene of an accident involving death after hitting the group of children, aged between 2 and 10, killing Andrea Fleming and Kylie Jones, aged respectively 6 and 5, and sending the others to hospitals.

Detectives tracked down Greer’s 2009 Honda Accord that drove up on the sidewalk to get around the school bus, plowing into the kids.

  • “By the time I looked up, I saw him going around the bus and I see him hit the damn kids,” an eyewitness said. “I jumped out of my car, my car was still running, I ran up and saw the first girl on the ground. I knew she was dead. I go to the second kid and I see him dead.”

    Before his arrest, the shocked community asked the suspect to come forward and surrender.

    “How can you sleep? And they’re babies. They won’t be going back to school,” a resident who lives across the street.
