Within a few days, a second America’s Got Talent contestant had passed this time from Covid-19 at the age of 30.
Jay Jay Phillips’ family and band confirmed his death after a hard battle with Covid-19 that he contracted days before Thanksgiving.
Phillips was living with his father, who is currently placed on a ventilator when his health considerably deteriorated. He was found dead, in a fetal position, in his bed after telling relatives he just needed to take a nap.
Phillips’ mother said that the rocker was not vaccinated but had plans to get his Covid jab in the near-future before contracting the fatal illness.
Known on America’s Got Talent for his wild, unkempt hairstyle and animal printed outfits, Phillips appeared in two seasons of the show but got ousted from the quarterfinals.
