Gruesome: Conveyor belt accident claims life of former ‘The Voice’ star at Oklahoma tire plant

The family of a former “The Voice,” “X-Factor” and “America’s Got Talent” competitor confirmed his tragic death on Friday.

46-year-old Thomas Wells died in a freak incident at his workplace on November 13. He was reportedly caught in a convey belt at an Oklahoma tire plant while working.

The late singer is survived by his wife of 17 years, and three children. Wells had taught himself how to play various musical instruments when he was still a kid.

  • “Thomas had an amazing voice and loved singing hymns as well as contemporary music. He always had a smile and loved to joke and give people a hard time. He was a great entertainer and always became the center of attention,” an obituary reads.

    Wells’ widow Jessica posted a sad video to Facebook on Thanksgiving from his gravesite, mourning his sudden loss.

    “It was the worst day of my life because I lost my husband, but the best day of my life because God told me he was home; I know one hundred and million percent that Thomas is up there, waiting for me.”
