Bronx teen, 17, ejected from car & killed in tragic crash while drag-racing

A Bronx teen was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after he was involved in a triple car crash in Harlem’s Henry Hudson Parkway Tuesday night.

Police identified the victim as 17-year-old Antonio Fonseca. He was reportedly speeding uptown on the highway located near W. 134th Street when his Honda Civic crashed into another vehicle and went north, mounting the right-side edge.

  • The teen was eventually ejected from the car that flipped over several times before landing at the parkway’s center lane. He layed in the middle of the road with mortal wounds until medics arrived.

    The driver of the car hit by Fonseca was not harmed but had also struck a third vehicle, a 2017 Honda Pilot with a 26-year-old behind the wheel, without causing considerable damage.

    Fonseca was pronounced dead upon arriving at the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. Investigators are suspecting he had been drag-racing before the deadly crash.
