Oxford news, Michigan news.

A horrific mass shooting at Michigan’s Oxford High School has left three teens dead and seven others injured including a teacher when a 15-year-old student went on a bloody rampage using his father’s newly-purchased gun.

Oakland County authorities were first alerted to the incident at 12:51 p.m. and rushed to the school to find the suspected shooter raising his arms in surrender after firing 15 to 20 shots at helpless classmates, police said.

“He didn’t give us any resistance when he was taken into custody. The whole thing lasted 5 minutes,” OC Undersheriff Mike McCabe said.

Since his arrest, the shooter was placed in a special cell, on suicide-watch, at a juvenile detention facility. Investigators said that the gun he used was bought by the teen’s father on Nov. 26.

“The person who’s got the mist insight into motive is not talking,” Oakland County Sheriff Bouchard said. “It is my understanding that this was a recent weapon purchased, that he had been shooting with it and had posted pictures of a target and the weapon.”

“This touches us all personally and deeply, and will for a long time. This wound will never go away. We will leave no stone unturned in the investigation and finding out what lead up to it,” he added.
